Teething Biscuits (Baby-Friendly | No Sugar)

Oh! the joys of teething… Teething is a common concern for all parents. And the reason its a concern is that it’s painful and babies do not know how to communicate. This is tough on Mamas, we get to handle all the crankiness & sleeplessness.

My daughter started teething when she was almost 7 months and did not get a single tooth until she turned one. A number of things I tried including breast milk Popsicle, teeters frozen fruit in a fruit feeder, and eventually these teething biscuits. They did an awesome job of easing teething pain. And it is a simple recipe made in 10-15 minutes with very few ingredients. These teething biscuits stay fresh for a week. I did pack them while travelling.

  • PREP TIME: 10 minutes
  • COOK TIME: 7 minutes  
  • SERVES: 1 Baby/ Toddler
  • SUITABLE FROM: 6 months +

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Banana – 1
  2. Oats – 2-3 tsp
  3. Ginger grated – a pinch
  4. Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp (Optional)

METHOD:

  1. Mash a banana in a bowl.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix it to a thick dough consistency.
  3. Adjust oats to make it a thick dough.
  4. Pinch small balls and make biscuits in the rectangular shape to help baby hold them.
  5. Now put them on a baking tray and bake it for 5 minutes at 300 degrees Celsius.
  6. Cool down for 10 mins and the biscuits are ready.

NOTE:

  1. Nuts like almonds or walnuts can be powdered and added as optional.
